Nazirites [N202-N209]
Mitzvah N202: Numbers 6:3 - A Nazir (Nazirite/Nazrene) may not drink wine or any beverage from grapes
v.3 “From wine and strong drink he shall abstain: vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, he shall not drink, and any liquor of grapes he shall not drink, and grapes, fresh or dried, he shall not eat.”
Nazir (Nazirite/Nazrene):
Nazir is the pure devotion in serving YHWH when being the Spirit filled one to perform the certain laws of Naziriteship needed for his/her separation from the worldly principles to test his faithfulness and purity in our Messiah. It is the illumination of Yahushua our Messiah that came from the land of Nazrene. A follower of Yahushua the Nazirite is a spiritual Nazirite when in purity in heart, refraining what is against the law of Nazir. Samson is the example of becoming a Nazirite when accepting the responsibility of serving YHWH and refraining all works of uncleanness and drunkenness in all his life (Judges 13:7). Yahuchanan (John) the Baptist is also the example: “For he will be great in the sight of YHWH, and he will drink no wine or liquor; and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit (spiritual wine)…“ (Luke 1:15).
From wine and strong drink he shall abstain:
Yahushua said in Matt. 26:29 “But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”
We, the followers of our Naziritie Yahushua, abstain (refrain) the old wine of flesh minded that does not satisfy us because it is only the temporary pleasure of the fleshly minded who promotes the fleshly works. The old (mortal) wine is the result of their fleshly promotions/glories. We, the Spirit filled, are satisfied with the spiritual wine (Holy Spirit) of newness that dwells in our hearts as long as we walk in the way of His Light.
Vinegar:
Ruth 2:14 “At mealtime Boaz said to her, Come here, that you may eat of the bread and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar.”; Ps. 69:21 “They also gave me gall for my food and for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.”; Prov. 10:26 “Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, so is the lazy one to those who send him.”
Matt. 27:48 “Immediately one of them ran, and taking a sponge, he filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink.”; John 19:29 “A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth.”
The vinegar is the sour wine (bitterness of flesh) which is the result of the labor of man that can not be satisfied in his mouth that speaks the words of cowardice or foolishness. Where the words of bitterness (lawlessness) are spoken, there are the spirits of bitterness performed in the fleshly minded. Only the sweet wine is the satisfaction to the mouth who speak the words of peace.
Vinegar of wine or strong drink he shall not drink:
Ephesians 5:18 “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled the Spirit.…“; 1 Tim. 3:3 “not addicted to wine or purgnacious, but gentle, uncontentious, free from the love of money…“; 8 “addicted to much wine or fond of sordid gain.…”; Rev. 14:6 “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who had made all the nations drink of the wine of the passion of her immorality.” Also 17:2; 18:3
Refrain all the foolishness or filthiness, which are out of control (when drunk), not knowing what to say when not in sober (spiritual) mind. The drunkenness is the result of lawlessness performed which is out of control because of disobedience to what is right in His eyes. The soberness is the result of Law of purity performed aside from the drunkenness of those who do the practices of lawlessness.
Any liquor of grapes he shall not drink:
Many fleshly minded enjoy the highness of their strong drinks that are man-made and talk the things of cowardice/foolishness while being drunk, then are awakened by the hangover (works of affliction/ blemish). We, the Spirit filled, have His pure wine (Word of purity) to enjoy and talk wisely out of His Word of Life that is written in our sanctified hearts without a blemish (hangover).
Grapes, fresh or dried:
Fresh grapes can be either sour or sweet. The sweet (good) grapes are the fruits of Spirit which is of the Kingdom of Life, and the sour (bad) grapes are the fruits of flesh which is of the kingdom of world (cursed ground) where all vines (works of flesh) come out. The dried grapes (raisins) are withered (dead), from the works of Tree of Life (His vineyard) that are grown the Root of Life (Yahushua), are fallen off (pruned) because of its lawless deeds.
Grapes, fresh or dried he shall not eat:
We, the Spirit filled, shall not drink (do) the will of man that promote the fleshly works which are of bitterness (fresh grapes) that are not satisfied in his mouth that speaks the words of bitterness, and of withered/dried (loosened) works that come from the lawless deeds that leads to death.
Parable of the Vineyard:
Isa. 5:1-7 “Let me sing now for my well-beloved A song of my beloved concerning His vineyard. My well-beloved had a vineyard on a fertile hill. He dug it all around, removed its stones, And planted it with the choicest vine. And He built a tower in the middle of it And also hewed out a wine vat in it; Then He expected it to produce good grapes, But it produced only worthless ones. And now, O inhabitants of Yerushalam and men of Yahudah, Judge between Me and My vineyard. What more was there to do for My vineyard that I have not done in it? Why, when I expected it to produce good grapes did it produce worthless ones? So now let Me tell you what I am going to do to My vineyard: I will remove its hedge and it will be consumed; I will break down its wall and it will become trampled ground. I will lay it waste; It will not be pruned or hoed, But briars and thorns will come up. I will also charge the clouds to rain no rain on it. For the vineyard of YHWH of hosts is the house of Yisrael And the men of Yahudah His delightful plant. Thus He looked for justice, but behold, bloodshed; For righteousness, but behold, a cry of distress.”
The song of His vineyard shall be sung among His believers eternally, where all other vineyards fail. His vineyard is the Kingdom of purity and sweetness, while other vineyards are many kingdoms of impurity and bitterness (sourness).
A Nazir may not drink wine or any beverage from grapes (N202):
A follower of our Nazirite Yahushua shall not drink (do) the works of bitterness (falsehoods) that come from the labor of man, for he has the Holy Spirit (sweet wine) that dwells in his heart.
Mitzvah N203: Numbers 6:3 - A Nazir may not eat fresh grapes
v.3 “From wine and strong drink he shall abstain: vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, he shall not drink, and any liquor of grapes he shall not drink, and grapes, fresh or dried, he shall not eat.”
A Nazir may not eat fresh grapes (N203):
We, the Spirit filled, refrain all the pleasures of men’s new (fresh) ideas, which are of non-Torah (lawless) teachings, to add or promote self-righteous (men’s) glories and their powers.
Mitzvah N204: Numbers 6:3 - A Nazir may not eat dried grapes
v.3 “From wine and strong drink he shall abstain: vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, he shall not drink, and any liquor of grapes he shall not drink, and grapes, fresh or dried, he shall not eat.”
A Nazir may not eat dried grapes (N204):
Refrain all the dead (dried) works of man’s customs/traditions/ways which were developed from the non-Torah (lawless) ideas of men to promote their glories. All works of men are not the works of reproduction of Life but are died to themselves.
Mitzvah N205: Numbers 6:4 - A Nazir may not eat grape seeds/kernels
v.4 “All the days of his Naziriteship, any thing that is made of the grape-vine, from the pressed grapes even unto the grapestone, he shall not eat.”
All the days of his Naziriteship:
Yahushua was a true Nazire all the earthly days and now is a eternal true Nazir beyond the time of fleshly expiration in which He died for our sins of foolishness/mortality. Once we are called out of the kingdom of broken promises created by the mortals, we are sanctified by His blood of purity washing away our works of lawlessness (sins) and are now the followers of His Naziriteship by keeping His Law of Life all the days of our spiritual lives.
Any thing that is made of the grape-vine:
Any thing that is man-made of the grape-vine (kingdom of mortality) shall not eaten (done) by the Nazarite (Spirit filled) that is called out of the kingdom of lawlessness, for he commits fully in serving His Kingdom of holiness to do what is commanded out of His immortal mouth (Law of Life).
Pressed grapes:
Matt. 7:17-19 “So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
Pressed grapes (juicy liquids) are the inwardness that come out of its bodies by the process of being pressed upon. We, the children of honesty, do not eat (do) the words of inwardness if they are of defilation or corruption or deceit. Those, who are the children of dishonesty, eat (do) the words of lawlessness that come out of their mouths.
Huskies (Grapestone):
2 King 4:42 “Now a man came from Baal-shalishah, and brought the man of Elohim bread of the first fruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And he said, Give them to the people that they may eat.”
Luke 15:16 “And he would have gladly filled his stomach with the pods that the swine were eating, and no one was giving anything to him.”
We, the children of purity, are known by the good fruits of Spirit (inwardness), for the Law is written on the heart to do the works of inwardness. The children of impurity, are seen of their outward works, but their inwardness is of defilation or lawlessness. Matt. 23:28 “So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.”
From the pressed grapes unto the huskies (grapestone) he shall not eat:
Matt. 15:18-20 “But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”
Pressed grapes (inwardness) unto huskies (outwardness). We, the Spirit minded, begin with the incorruptible words of inwardness (righteousness), end with the good fruits (works of Spirit) that is outward, for the the Law of Life is written on our hearts. But those, who begin with the corruptible words of inwardness (lawlessness), end with the evil fruits (works of unclean spirits) that is outward to defile them. Every deed (outwardness) must be performed according to the word (inwardness) spoken out of the mouth of man.
A Nazir may not eat grapes seeds/kernels (N205):
Consume/accept not the ideas (conceptions/seeds) of the men/parents’ beliefs or practical non-Torah (lawless) teachings planting in your hearts to carry the heavy load of their traditions/customs of men.
Mitzvah N206: Numbers 6:4 - A Nazir may not eat grape peels/husks
v.4 “All the days of his Naziriteship, any thing that is made of the grape-vine, from the pressed grapes even unto the grapestone, he shall not eat.”
A Nazir may not eat grape peels/husks (N206):
Seek not the outward beauty of the worldly works as the worldly minded seek the glory of men for their seen (physical) end-products to increase their powers and monies for their outward profits, where the seeds/conception of men are of the self-destruction and non-reproduction of life.
Mitzvah N207: Numbers 6:7 - Nazir may not rend himself tameh (unclean) for the dead
v.7 “For his father, nor for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, he shall not make himself unclean for them, when they die; because his consecration (unto) Elohim is upon his head.”
He shall not make himself unclean for them:
Matt. 10:37 “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.”
The mortal lives of your father or mother, even your brother or sister, are not worth to follow, for all the flesh must die because of the mortal sins which are of uncleanness. We, the Spirit filled, are once the former Gentiles that did the works of uncleanness, but now we are called out of the kingdom of uncleanness and serve Him in His holiness.
When they die:
When all mortal men die, all their works of uncleanness/mortality are perished. All the men must be born again (Spiritual birth) if they believe in His righteousness and obey His Law of Life as it is written on their hearts. No flesh (mortal men) shall be saved before our Messiah comes back to reign on the earth with His servants.
His consecration unto Elohim is upon his head:
Once you are consecrated from the works of filthiness thru the Blood of our Messiah and are filled with the Holy Spirit in your heart, it is an eternal dwelling in His Kingdom of purity. But to fall away from the taste of the gift given to you from above, it is impossible to return back to His Kingdom. Heb. 6:4-6 “For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of Elohim and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of Elohim and put Him to open shame.”
A Nazir may not rend himself tameh (unclean) for the dead (N207):
Do not exchange the garments of righteousness with the clothing of foolishness/blindness. Do not quench the Holy Spirit for the spirits of dead works.
Mitzvah N208: Leviticus 21:11 - Nazir must not become tameh entering house with corpse
v.11 “and unto any dead body he shall not go in, for his father, or for his mother he shall not defile himself.”
A Nazir must not become tameh (unclean) entering house with corpse (N208):
We, the followers of our Nazirite Yahushua the Messiah, must not become unclean (do the works of uncleanness) by associating with those who do the practice of uncleanness (lawlessness) in the house of mortality (kingdom of corruption) where it leads to death.
Mitzvah N209: Numbers 6:5 - A Nazir must not shave his hair
v.5 “All the days of the vow of his Naziriteship (there) shall no razor come upon his head; until the days be fulfilled, (in) which he consecrated (himself) to YHWH. he shall be holy, he shall let grow long the (locks of) hair of his head.”
All the days of the vow of his separation (Naziriteship):
Judges 13:5 For behold, you shall conceive and give birth to a son (Samson), and no razor shall come upon his head, for the boy shall be a Nazirite to Elohim from the womb...... 16:17 “A razor has never come on my head, for I have been a Nazirite to Elohim from my mother’s womb. If I am shaved, then my strength will leave me and I shall become weak and be like any other man.”...19 “shaved off the seven locks of his hair...his strength left him.”...22 “the head of his head began to grow again after it was shaved off.”; 1 Sam. 1:11...”I (Hannah) will give him to YHWH all the days of his life, and a razor shall never come on his head.” Shmuel (meaning Heard of El) is one of those spiritual Nazirites.
Once you received the gift of Holy Spirit, it is for all the days of your life to separate yourselves from the works of uncleanness.
No razor shall come upon his head:
Luke 21:18 “Yet not a hair of your head will perish.”
Let not a razor (work of destruction) perish or cut one of your hairs (spiritual growth) by the fleshly filthiness. Likewise, no seed of Life is perished in your heart once you received the salvation upon your repentance of the works of foolishness, unless you let the demons come and take it away. Where there is a knowledge of good in your head, you cannot let the deceiver to cut it off from you, for you need the spiritual helmet and breastplate to guard against those who do the works of deceit.
He is consecrated himself to YHWH:
Your consecration is an eternal freewill gift given to you from YHWH, as to separate yourselves from your former state in this kingdom of filthiness.
All the days of the vow must be fulfilled:
Matt. 24:13 “But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”
The vow of your separation from the works of uncleanness shall be endured to the end of your flesh age, as to complete your fulfillment, just like Yahushua said: Matt. 5:17-18 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.” We, the Spirit filled, keep the vow to fulfill what is written on our hearts by Yahushua the Word (John 1:14) who comes in our spiritual house. Gal. 5:14 “For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word (Yahushua), in the statement, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Cut not the cycle of spiritual life:
Cut not the cycle of spiritual life growth (hair/veins) out of the temple (head/heart). Like the seed (man) is released from the tree (father/mother) and planted in the ground (wife/womb) and is rooted/grown deep (beard) where the unity makes the spiritual seed growing out of the ground/womb that all the branches (head hairs) of tree can visible by all. Likewise the Messiah (seed of Life) is planted by His Father where we are the branches of Life.
Shave off the edges of the beards or baldness on their heads:
2 Sam. 10:4 “Hanun took David’s servants and shaved off half of their beards....Stay at Jericho until your beards grow, and then return.” “Shaving himself or the head off” are mentioned in Lev 13:33; 14:8-9, Num. 8:7, Acts 21:24, other verses for those who were unclean or ignorant during the laws of purification. Remove the hair (purge the dead works out of the heart like trimming the dead branches of tree or removing the weeds from the garden) in order to receive the new hair growth (Holy Spirit). Growing hair is for the spiritual growth of the Body of Messiah for the clothing of righteousness/ wisdom in opposition to the nakedness or ignorance/ foolishness or childishness or immaturity.
Remove the spiritual growth to open the nakedness to promote men’s pleasures. It is like the removing of the roots (beard) off the tree which cannot survive.
A Nazir must not shave his hair (N209):
Lev. 21:5 “..They shall not make any baldness on their heads, nor shave off the edges of their beards, nor make any cuts (tattos) in their flesh. They shall be holy to their Elohim and not profane the name of their Elohim...” Actually, hair growth (spiritual beauty or clothing) is holy to YHWH.
Remove not the spiritual growth where the seed of Life is planted in the heart of purity.
